Small private art classes and workshops featuring non-hazardous printmaking methods with an emphasis on monotype workshops using an etching press. The artist's spacious and nontoxic Emeryville studio is in a safe, easily accessible area minutes from San Francisco.
4 and 6-week ongoing classes in Monotype, Monoprint, Waterbased Monotype and Color Monoprint (oil-based). There are also intensive weekend and week-long workshops as noted below. Additional open lab time may be schedued. Inquire about discounts for registration in multiple or repeat classes.

Direct and expressive, monotype joins the radiant qualities of prints with the spontaneity of painting. This in-depth workshop focuses on the creation of multiple-run color monotypes. Goodman demonstrates her techniqes for using etching and litho inks, transparencies, oils and modifiers, rollers, and multiple plates with color printing to achieve brilliant colors and crisp printerly effects. .Click here for more details. Individual critiques/consultation by arrangement $50/hour. Independent Lab: Mondays 10:00 am - 5:00 pm; or 5:00pm - 12:00 am; some weekend days. ($125/4 sessions used within course of clcass). Open lab for current students only, approved by Linda. Discounts: Take another workshop within four months at a 10% discount. Take a third for 15% off. Repeat the same California weekend workshop within nine months and receive up to 40% discount. San Francisco Bay Area California artist painter printmaker Linda Goodman was born in Chicago and lives in Oakland, California with a studio in Emeryville California. She exhibits her prints — monotypes, etchings, lithographs, woodcuts, artist books, drawings, figure drawings, oil paintings and pastels — in California, Canada, Italy and other parts of the USA and abroad.She currently teaches art classes in California and Italy, with more workshops and tours under development the US (e.g. Florida) and Greece.
